Today, we landed at Foz de Iguazu, Brazil (SBFI), after 7 hours and 15 minutes of flight time, nestled on the border between Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. Previous experiences streamlined our flight plan, ensuring a smooth 7 am takeoff.
Heavenly Sunrise
As we flew, clouds parted, revealing a breathtaking canvas of colors – a god-like spectacle. The heavens unfolded, validating the age-old depiction of heaven in the sky. Today, I truly understood why.
Paraná River’s Grandeur
Mid-flight, clouds cleared, exposing the lush Matto Grosso do Sul landscape. The Paraná River‘s majesty stunned us, its sheer scale defying childhood notions. Born and raised in this region, I never appreciated its beauty until now.
Iguazú National Park: Nighttime Spectacle
Post-landing, exhaustion yielded to curiosity. Dobri uncovered a hidden gem: Night visits for small groups. Under moonlight, the waterfalls transformed – a symphony of light and sound. Sunset’s warm glow gave way to darkness, and then, moonbeams danced, casting a 360-degree rainbow across the falls.
Nature’s symphony peaked; our adventure’s culmination. I couldn’t ask for more.
Argentina Bound
Tomorrow, San Fernando awaits, marking the halfway point of our epic journey. We’ll report from the ground soon. Until then… blue skies!
