Today, we tamed the Brazilian jungle skies, landing safely at Alta Floresta (SBAT) after 7 thrilling hours from Boa Vista (SBBV). But our journey almost didn’t take off.
Midnight Madness
Filing a flight plan seemed impossible the night before. my friend Federico and local heroes saved the day, but 3 hours of frantic phone calls, emails, and troubleshooting delayed our departure.
Emerald Infinity
As we soared, endless green stretched out in every direction – 360 degrees of untamed, inhospitable jungle. The isolation was mesmerizing, echoing our open-water flights.
Storm Chasers
Departing at 9 am, tropical storms brewed by noon. Federico’s guidance helped us dodge heavy rain cells. After hours of intense flying, suddenly, the airport emerged like a hidden oasis. Landing amidst lush vegetation felt surreal – like entering Jumanji movie set.
Next Stop: Iguazu Falls
Tomorrow, we’ll reach Foz do Iguaçu (SBFI), our last Brazilian stop before Argentina, I can’t believe how close we are. The breathtaking Iguazu Falls await, a soaring finale to our aerial ballet!
