After 5 hours of flight time, we landed in San Fernando, Argentina (SADF), marking the end of our adventure’s first phase. 50+ hours of flight time, 7 flying days, and countless memories later, it feels surreal to have left home just 10 days ago.
Departure Drama
Foz de Iguazu’s bureaucracy struck again. Two officials, not early risers, delayed our departure by 3 hours. However, the wait was worth it – our final glimpse of the waterfalls from the air was breathtaking.
Smooth Flight, Warm Welcome
The flight to San Fernando was effortless, with clear skies and minimal clouds. Federico and Global Oil‘s crew greeted us, streamlining paperwork and parking. It felt like coming home.
Palermo Exploration, Farewell Dinner
Post-landing, Dobri and I strolled through Palermo, where he picked up a Mate souvenir. We capped the night with a delightful dinner at La Mabelqueria before Dobri’s departure to the States. His companionship enriched this adventure; he’ll be deeply missed.
Break and Reflection
Now, I’ll spend a few days settling, working, and organizing the plethora of photos and videos. Expect upcoming posts with reflections on this incredible journey.
Heartfelt Thanks
