Today, I finally broke free from Boa Vista, Brazil, overcoming my apprehensions and navigating the bureaucracy with unexpected ease. After a swift departure, I arrived in Grenada after a smooth 4.5-hour flight.
Cloudy Skies and Glimpses of Paradise
The flight itself was a tranquil affair, with the plane gliding over a thick layer of clouds for most of the journey. However, as I approached Grenada, I caught a glimpse of the stunning coastline of Trinidad and Tobago – a tantalizing preview of the island beauty that awaited me.
Island Bliss
Thanks to my early departure, I arrived on the island at 2 pm, with plenty of time to indulge in the gorgeous beach. I spent the afternoon soaking up the sun, taking a leisurely walk, and savoring Mate while gazing out at the infinite horizon. The day culminated in a sumptuous seafood dinner, with the beach as my backdrop. What more could I ask for?
Northbound and Island-Hopping
Tomorrow, I’ll continue my journey north, aiming to reach the idyllic islands of Turks and Caicos. From there, I’ll position myself for reaching the east coast of United States next.
