After 6.5 hours of flight time, I arrived at the breathtakingly beautiful Providenciales Island in Turks and Caicos. The islands’ unique blend of turquoise waters, yellow sand, and coral-shaded mystique is truly otherworldly.

A Seamless Departure from Grenada
In stark contrast to my South American experiences, departing from Grenada was remarkably smooth. The Caribbean’s more streamlined processes, similar to those in the US, made clearing migrations, customs, and fueling a breeze. I even managed to electronically file my flight plan, and with a spectacular takeoff, I left Grenada’s stunning beaches behind.

A Serene Flight Over the Caribbean
The flight itself was tranquil, with most of my time spent flying over the ocean. Occasionally, I caught glimpses of islands peeking through the clouds. Unfortunately, a thick tapestry of clouds shrouded Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, hiding their beauty from my aerial view.

A Challenging Landing in Providenciales
Landing in Providenciales proved to be a test of patience. Despite favorable weather conditions, I found myself in a crowded airspace, with numerous planes vying for landing and takeoff slots. After a 20-minute holding pattern, I received clearance to land, and the privilege of witnessing the island’s stunning beauty up close.

Island Bliss Revisited
Thanks to my early departure and the timezone difference, I arrived at 3 pm, with plenty of time to indulge in the island’s beauty. I spent the afternoon soaking up the sun, taking a leisurely walk, and watching the sunset while sipping Mate.

Re-Entering the US Tomorrow
Tomorrow, I’ll be re-entering the US via Fort Lauderdale Executive. I’ve prepared the necessary paperwork to cross the ADIZ line, and I’m excited to return to a country where paperwork is less cumbersome, and flying is a breeze.
